In 2024, Nice was named the “most popular holiday destination” by Titan Travel.
The city on the French Riviera attracts tourists thanks to its famous Promenade des Anglais, clear waters and rich cultural heritage. This year, Nice stands out from other destinations, especially thanks to its popularity on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, where the city has won millions of fans. Located just a few kilometers from Monaco and the Italian border, Nice now outstrips cities such as London and Paris in the rankings of the best holiday destinations.
The Nice Tourist Office, headed by Jean-Sébastien Martinez, has developed several initiatives to control tourist flows and prevent overtourism. “Our region is very diverse, with 51 municipalities. Tourism is distributed evenly here and we try to better control the influx of visitors. We do not have a feeling of overcrowding or tension,” he told the Nice Presse newspaper. Thanks to this approach, Nice can offer a comfortable stay to all its guests.
