Aluminum sheet – a wide -tissue form of aluminum rental. So such sheets are used in mechanical engineering for the manufacture of various parts and assemblies, units and the like. In industry, both sheets of pure aluminum and its alloys can be used. In general, a sheet is a rental of aluminum up to 10 mm thick, everything that is higher in thickness is called aluminum slabs.
Usually aluminum sheets undergo additional processing. After that, they are marked with a certain index, depending on the type of processing:
M – denote an excessive aluminum sheets;
H2 – denote semi -a -haired sheets;
N – boveted sheets;
T – after undergoing hardening and natural aging;
T1 – aluminum sheets are hardened and artificially aged;
TN – aluminum sheet is bought after hardening and natural aging.
Carting – the process of enhancing the metal by deformation. So, bent aluminum becomes much stronger within the sheet and can withstand more significant loads. Each type of aluminum sheet can be used for various purposes.
In thickness, the aluminum sheet may have deviations. So deviations can reach up to 20% of the thickest sheets up to 10 mm from the designated thickness in the technical characteristics. Usually in sheets up to 5 mm deviations are no more than 5%.
Deviations are also possible in the width of the sheets. With a width of 1000 millimeters and a thickness of up to 5 mm, maximum width deviations should not exceed 15 mm.
Deviations in length are allowed for sheets of less than 3.5 mm up to 20 mm thick for the entire length of the sheet, with a thickness of more than 3.5 mm – up to 25 mm.
The sheets are cut at a right angle, while the sections should not lead to indicators above the extreme deviation. The edge itself should be smooth, it should not have cracks and burrs. There are sheets that have technologically increased accuracy in size during manufacture. Such sheets are marked with index p.
The sheets themselves should be clean without any external damage, which are caused by both metallurgical production and storage or transportation. If there are defects of non -metallurgical origin on the sheet, which cannot be removed by etching, then such sheets can also be rejected.
